All the accommodation is in the form of self-contained flats, with their own entrances, bathrooms and kitchens. Apart from cooking appliances and built-in cupboards, all the flats are unfurnished.
There are three types of flat, bed-sitting room, one bedroom and two bedrooms. On entry residents will be allocated either a bed-sitting room or a back facing one bedroom flat. However residents of these flats may choose to put their names on the internal waiting list for larger flats.
The flats are located in ten separate blocks. Six of these have lifts and four do not. The flats with two bedrooms are all located in the blocks which do not have lifts.
All flats are supplied with central heating and hot water from a centralised system and a concessionary television licence and The Royal Homes deals with all repair, decoration and maintenance.
